I can't even title this one.
The last week my life is finally starting to feel back on track.  Between Jacob's birthday, house hunting, doing a paper-route for 2 weeks (2 weeks too long) and trying to keep up with Jacob and my job during the day... it's a wonder I remembered to breathe sometimes!

So... here is a photo summary of the last couple of months:

I know it's blurry--darn kid is always on the move.  This marks the day he started carrying his beloved blankie everywhere.  He is hardly seen without it.  (look familiar Aunt Ruby?)  He has to have it for nap time.  My favorite is he will pull fuzzies off it and pretend to eat them and say "yumm".  Ya, he's pretty weird.

An attempt to document how curly his hair is.

The beginning of Friday night bubble bath nights.
Jacob loves to ham it up!

My boys-dreaming of spring.

My first attempt ever at making a real cake.  We made strawberry cake (Jake LOVES strawberries, we call him the strawberry kid sometimes)  I did the frosting, Adam did the words.

Jake before eating said cake
Jake enjoying said cake!!!

Present time, he is already a pro at opening presents.

All the cousins playing together.

Dad: aka cameraman

Jacob inspecting his big gift.  The horse was Adam's as a little boy.  We cleaned it up, replaced the hair and now:
Jake and his trusty side-kick, Blankie, enjoy rocking on the new horse!

And lastly: enjoying the early spring sun

That is what we have been up to.  Mostly just surviving the last of winter, I thought we had made it through most of it only to wake up to snow this morning!

Can't believe that he is so big already - it seems like I just ran into you. How are things? Last I talked to you you're hubby was trying to get on with BPD? how's that going? I understand the surviving thing - I'm ready for spring too!

He is so cute! James said he looks like Elvis with the bubbles on his head in the bathtub. I can't believe he is one already. Good luck house hunting.

Looks like Jacob had a nice 1st Birthday!! He's a real cutie and I know you are enjoying every minute, well almost every minute, of his childhood.
Glad he likes the blanket, I spent many hours working on it while in Vermont.
